While I had been aware of the idea of the technological singularity from the mid nineties, mostly through a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damien_BroderickDamian Broderick/a (and I had been inarticulately working on a similar theme for many years without much to show for it) the first time I came across it in a href=http://www.librarything.com/tag/singularity+fictionfiction/a was in a novel of a href=http://kenmacleod.blogspot.com/Ken Macleod's/a, a href=http://www.librarything.com/work/46073/book/25688558A Stone Canal/a.brbrSo I am very chuffed to have a piece of flash fiction, some 'lablit', accepted by Ken for a href=http://www.humangenreproject.com/The Human Genre Project/a.brbra href=http://www.humangenreproject.com/page.php?id=96Speciation: The Day REDE OS Forked/a on a href=http://www.humangenreproject.com/index.php?id=24Chromosone 24/a.

Apparently smashwords' epub format ebooks will appear in Sony's e-store.brbrSo I've done a little eediting this eevening and produced a version of the paperbacka href=http://www.amazon.com/before-Country-meika-loofs-samorzewski/dp/1847539181/sr=8-1/qid=1170287995/ref=sr_1_1/102-3185963-0827313br.before Country/a (or a href=http://www.lulu.com/content/368184here/a)with which I explored POD self-publishing some years ago on a href=http://www.lulu.com/meikalulu.com/a. Never sold a copy. Got shit poured upon me. Precious peeps are worse than puritains.brbrDownload the ebook versions including ePub from a href=http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/4265here/a.brbrI've only looked at the Palm .pdb version and the bbold/b, iitalics/i (used twice) and differing font for some headings are gone, as is some right justification. It's okay though. Wonder how I'll check out the ePub version, hmmm, now who has an iphone with Stanza???
